We left Silverton, CO heading North to ride the Million Dollar Hwy and turned off the Forest Rd 679 which takes us straight to Ophir Pass
Ophir Pass Route is a moderate 9.9 mile scenic route between Silverton/Ouray and Telluride
Once Bill could stop, I was close by and we both proceeded down the slippery Shale Rocks to a point where we could reflect on what we JUST DID... take in much needed air (altitude) and proceed onward...
